Throckmorton Air Show is to host an historic airshow highlight this year, with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and Bristol Blenheim set to appear together.
As things currently stand the Royal Air Force’s Battle of Britain Memorial Flight fighters, the Hawker Hurricane and Supermarine Spitfire, are set to perform a number of flypast with the Aircraft Restoration Company’s Bristol Blenheim Mk1 at this year’s Throckmorton Air Show on Saturday 6 June.
This will most likely be one of the first chances to see these aircraft fly together since the Blenheim’s restoration and return to the airshow circuit, and it is most fitting that they will do so over the site of a former wartime station, RAF Pershore, and in such a special year for the Battle of Britain, as we commemorate the 75th anniversary of those pivotal moments in history.
Exact details are still being planned by those involved and we are therefore unable to confirm any other specifics of the planned flypasts, but would like to remind you all that admission to Throckmorton Air Show is by advance ticket purchase only and tickets will not be sold on the gate, on the day.
That means that the only way to guarantee seeing this historic airshow moment, along with a whole host of other aircraft such as the Avro Vulcan, Muscle Biplane, Jet Provost, Grob Tutor, Gyroplane and Team Raven, as well as a very full selection of ground exhibits and entertainment, is to buy tickets in advance, which can be done via THIS LINK.
Throckmorton Air Show is very much looking forward to hosting what promises to be one of the highlights of the 2015 UK airshow season.
