Another of the UK’s most popular airshow acts will be performing at this year’s show – get ready for some crazy flying!
Brendan O’Brien is one of the world’s most experienced and popular airshow pilots – fact.
With thirteen thousand hours on over three hundred plus types of aircraft to his name, Brendan not only possesses a licence to fly every kind of flying machine but he holds in excess of two hundred aviation world records. He is a CAA display authorisation holder/examiner, test pilot and medallist of the Royal Aero Club and has flown on every continent in the world including Antarctica. Phew!
And he will be at Throckmorton Air Show on Saturday 6 June with his wonderful Piper Cub, to show us all some real crazy flying. The Cub might look inoffensive enough, but with Brendan at the controls things become increasingly entertaining as the Cub cavorts around the airfield with a zany flying routine – you won’t want to miss this one!
In other news, Neil McCarthy and the Jet Provost T3 has now become a Jet Provost T5 and will be flown by Dan Arlett, a former RAF Tornado F3 pilot and another stalwart of the UK airshow scene. We look forward to welcoming Dan to the show.
We’ll provide a further update on ground attractions later this week, but suffice to say that this is undoubtedly going to the biggest Throckmorton Air Show yet, with a huge amount to see and do in addition to the flying display.
Remember – you need to have bought your tickets in advance to get in – so why not go and do it now if you haven’t done so already?

Finally, we added some additional VIP places to the store last week – and these have now sold out – sorry!
