To address the problems of last year, this year organiser’s have employed a traffic management company to reduce congestion this year: Pinvin traffic lights will have a two way traffic system in operation. There will be traffic lights at the end of Long Lane from Upton Snodsbury; and traffic from Pershore travelling towards Pinvin, will be diverted towards Wyre Piddle.

Samantha Jones Airshow Organiser states “This really will be a day to remember, but we have gone to great effort to make sure it’s not a day to remember for the wrong reasons and have done a lot to reduce the impact of traffic for visitors and local residents alike. I’d like to remind people not to park or stand outside the airfield as this is unsafe and could force displays to stop. The event is very popular we still advise people to build in additional journey time. As volunteers that do this for the love of it we really appreciate the support from local residents and visitors.”

Cllr. Liz Tucker, Wychavon member for Pinvin said “After the acute traffic problems last year, I welcome the professional and detailed traffic management plan that has been put in place by the organisers for this year’s airshow. They have employed a traffic management company and have again worked with us, the police and emergency services. Having looked over the plans we feel that this will minimise the impact on locals and keep traffic flowing as much as is possible.”

In addition, local residents will be able to gain access to their properties despite diversions but are recommended to allow a little extra time for journeys.

Tickets for the event are only available online at www.throckmortonairshow.com parking is strictly limited onsite on the day and an advanced ticket for parking can also be purchased online for £3. Please clearly display your ticket in your windscreen.
